GP's do not see patients with dental problems
If you need a telephone number for an emergency dentist then please call the surgery who will be able to pass the numbers on.
A midwife-led antenatal clinic is held every Friday from 9.00am to 12 noon by appointment only.
Family Planning Services
These are available. Please contact reception for details.
Health Promotion Clinics
Various clinics are run by the Doctor and Practice Nurses. At these clinics a physical examination including height, weight, blood pressure and urine tests are carried out. These clinics provide an ideal opportunity to discuss smoking, alcohol consumption, diet etc. We also take cervical smears, do breast examination and teach breast self-examination. Those who are on regular treatment for blood pressure, diabetes, asthma etc are reviewed and their treatment discussed every few months.
If you need an ambulance please ring 01772 325100 at least four days prior to your appointment.
The practice encourages full vaccination and, in addition to vaccination services for babies, pre-school children, influenza and pneumonia, we also offer a full range of travel vaccines (but not yellow fever).
Certain surgical procedures are performed by the Doctor at the medical centre which may save unnecessary hospital visits.
Smoking Cessation Service (Tel 0800 328 6297)
This service offers free confidential support during office hours. To register, please call above number for an appointment. Alternatively, make an appointment with one practice Nurse for advice.
Our Doctors provide some services which are not covered under the NHS, including some medicals, certificates, letters/forms, reports and travel vaccinations. A charge will be made for all non-NHS services. The receptionist will advise you of the costs involved.
